In 2021, Surerus proudly invested in a world-class heavy equipment facility located in Fort St. John, which is the center of BC’s energy sector.
To accommodate the scale of our fleet, our equipment repair facility located in Fort St. John boasts 20-foot wide doors and four 10-tonne cranes which can be used in unison or independently. The entire shop floor and portions of the main office feature in-floor heating that is powered by re-purposing used oil through a high-efficiency used oil burner. Overhead, the exhaust system hose spools down over the equipment exhaust stack, working in conjunction with roof-mounted, automated, make-up-air systems, ensuring that there is always clean air in the shop.
Our wash facility cleans and disinfects our equipment daily with its many cutting-edge features, such as twin 120-foot bays, an undercarriage auto spray system, rainwater capture from the roof, and water recycling capabilities. We recycle water by capturing dirty water and transferring it through settling pits, settling sediments and debris, and recycling it to be used for the next wash.
The strategically situated component rebuild room is our operating room, where employees can perform overhauls on machine components in a controlled environment.
In 2008, an opportunity to purchase 37 acres of land in Gibbons, Alberta arose, and a long-term development plan was established. Today, Gibbons serves as a critical component of our Alberta operations with a 30,000 sq ft heavy equipment repair facility.
